How to request an adjustment
- Request at applicationAsk when you apply — not on examination day — so the arrangement can be put in place.
- Provide supporting informationUsually a letter from a qualified professional, or evidence of an adjustment previously granted. Only what is necessary is requested.
- Confidential assessmentYour request is reviewed confidentially against the competence being assessed. Adjustments never alter the competence standard or the pass mark.
- Written confirmationYou receive confirmation of what has been approved before you book your examination.
Information you provide is treated as sensitive personal data, stored securely, shared only with those who must implement the arrangement, and retained per our privacy notice. A record of an adjustment is never shown on your certificate or in verification results.
If you believe a request was handled unfairly, you may appeal or complain free of charge. To request an adjustment, contact certify@gaicc.org.
